Begin or advance your career in real estate by earning UCLA Extension's Real Estate Certificate. This 9-course program arms you with the information and skills needed to successfully invest in real estate properties and real estate focused companies (e.g. REIT's). Typical investments for individuals and families include rental housing, strip shopping centers, office complexes, land for future development, and publicly traded real estate corporations. Students must take the 5 core courses in addition to 2 courses in the field of concentration, 1 elective course, and 1 ethics course. Students are advised to complete X475.1 Real Estate Principles (or equivalent) since this is a prerequisite course for numerous courses in the curriculum. Those students with a current California salesperson/ broker license should consult with the certificate advisor to waive the prerequisite requirement.

In addition to the courses above, each student is required to take one additional 400-level real estate course of at least 4 units. The Internship in Real Estate, presented as the course MGMT X 476.35, is available to candidates who have completed at least five of the courses in the curriculum.
