The UCLA Extension Board of Advisors is a group of distinguished professionals who will engage in thoughtful discussions addressing some of the most important questions we face today as we look toward the future of professional and continuing education and lifelong learning.

 

Christie Bishop

Christie is a veteran global marketing executive with nearly 20 years of expertise in Integrated Brand Marketing & Communications. As leader of Edelman’s Los Angeles Integrated Brand team, Christie looks after 40+ integrated comms leaders dedicated to the success of brands including HVCB, PayPal, Sunkist, Petco, Dolby, Microsoft, Nestle and others. Together, their contributions and client counsel have resulted in strong employee morale, client satisfaction, and record growth.

 

Dominique Charrette

Dominique leads advanced analytics at Disney Streaming for Hulu. Her passion for media mix modeling and strategic partnerships keeps her busy as she constantly searches for better ways to drive the business forward. Dominique is passionate about education and the growth of the Analytics space in all verticals.

 

Stephen Cheung

As CEO, Stephen brings together the capabilities of LAEDC’s mission-delivery department areas, including: Business Assistance and Industry Cluster Development; LAEDC’s Institute for Applied Economics; Communications & Marketing; and Public Policy, into a single team that delivers the LAEDC’s critically important, public-benefit mission. Cheung currently sits on the Board of Advisors of UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs and Sister Cities of Los Angeles, while also serving on LA Metro’s Sustainability Council and Biz-Fed’s International Trade Committee.

Stephen is also the President of World Trade Center Los Angeles (WTCLA).

 

Soleil Delgadillo

A first-generation college graduate and Latina from Wilmington, CA, Soleil is passionate about creating supportive spaces for Angelenos to reach their individual and collective dreams. In her current role, Soleil has raised $4.6MM in volunteer time and over $2MM in products since 2016. She is scaling her impact by launching an innovative in-kind donation shop called, “The Closet” where families will access brand new essential items and receive employment support services.

 

Gustavo Herrera

Gustavo was appointed CEO of Arts for LA in December 2018. He previously held executive positions at Young Invincibles (YI), LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (LAPCA), and the Maestro Foundation. Gustavo also serves as a Strong Workforce implementation advisory board member for the California Community Colleges, advisory board member for the California Physician’s Alliance, member of the Leadership Council of CA Forward, and vice president of California Arts Advocates.

As the founder of LSTN Sound Co., Bridget has built an eight-figure social impact business that creates social change through the power of sound. Through the purchase of audio products through their website and retailers such as Nordstrom, Whole Foods and Barneys, LSTN has funded 20 missions to help more than 50,000 people around the world receive hearing aids through their partnership with the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Bridget has been recognized as both Forbes and Inc Magazine's 30 Under 30 and Entrepreneur's 15 Women to Watch.

 

Jeanne Holm

In her role as deputy mayor, Jeanne addresses technology, equity, digital inclusion, and fiscal accountability through municipal broadband, participatory budgeting, and digital transformation of government services. She was the evangelist for open data for the U.S. Government under President Obama, the lead for Africa open data for the World Bank, and the Chief Knowledge Architect at NASA. She also serves as an advisor for the U.N. on data and astronautics, is a Trustee of Claremont Graduate University, and teaches at UCLA.

 

Misha Kouzeh

Misha is a TEDx speaker, social entrepreneur, consultant, distinguished lecturer with expertise in digital marketing, nutrition, social impact, and sustainability, as well as a multiple UCLA Extension international alumna. For the past decade, she has worked with organizations including Coca-Cola, Unilever, the United Nations World Health Organization, universities in the Cal State system, and various nutrition technology and health companies. 

Bernice Maldonado

Through her consulting practice, Bernice provides practical and people-centered solutions for inclusive change and organizational transformation. She founded First Gen Talent to lead research on socioeconomic class impacts in the workplace focused on First-Gen Professionals, or professionals who come from working-class backgrounds. Her goal is to provide data-driven insights to influence inclusive change and talent management.

Scot Pansing

Scot has over 20 years of interactive marketing and development experience, and deep knowledge of the legal processes involved in delivering content on the Internet. He has spent a decade at Google, which began at YouTube before he moved over to the Trust and Safety team. Prior to Google, Scot spent time at Capitol Records and The Walt Disney Studios.

 

Anthony Schexnayder

Anthony Schexnayder
Head of Business Development

Anthony serves as and works side-by-side with collateralized loan obligation (CLO) equity investors and managers as they use KopenTech’s platform to reduce the cost of trading and refinancing CLOs. He also serves as the CEO of KopenTech's wholly-owned, FINRA regulated Broker-Dealer subsidiary, KopenTech Capital Markets. Anthony has over 19 years’ experience working in the structured finance industry and worked at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo and Guggenheim Partners in Fixed Income sales prior to making the move over to the FinTech space.

Gary leads a new Media Investment team at the Disney Media and Entertainment Division of The Walt Disney Company. The team is designed to grow greater holistic value for the company’s marketing, via negotiations, analytics, and optimization of inventory of Disney-owned assets. The Investment team currently works on behalf of The Walt Disney Studio, Disney Streaming Platforms and all Disney-owned Television Networks.

 

Corinne Spears

Corinne Spears

Achieve Partners

At Achieve Partners, Corinne is responsible for researching new skills gap verticals, sourcing, and leading deals. She leads the research efforts for digital marketing, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and applied behavioral analysis (ABA). In partnership with the Cloud for Good management team, she helped launch the first ever Salesforce apprenticeship program and is currently building a cybersecurity apprenticeship program. Corinne is a board director at Cloud for Good and Achieve Cybersecurity Holdings.
