Bruin REACH and You.

The five tenets of Bruin REACH are:

Resilience

We promote resilience at Extension by cultivating the individual, sociocultural, and environmental supports needed to strengthen our diverse community.

Engagement

We foster engagement by offering opportunities for inclusion and leadership as well as spaces for students to explore their intersectional identities.

Advocacy

Bruin REACH is a strong advocate for marginalized voices within UCLA Extension and the UC system by advocating for socially just policies and practices. We host student advocacy groups, teach self-advocacy skills, and train employees on best practices in allyship.

Compassion

We hold unbiased, confidential space and provide resources for UCLA Extension students who need assistance navigating life's pressures, finding balance, or experiencing behavioral health concerns.

Holism

We believe that equity involves honoring all parts of our students' identities. Bruin REACH strives to promote healthy, equitable and inclusive co-learning environments where every student feels that they fully belong.
