About this course:
This course provides educators with the theoretical background and the skills essential for beginning Career Technical Education (CTE) teaching success. These competencies will include an introduction and overview of teaching methods, learning styles, lesson planning, adult education and CTE concepts, equity and diversity in the classroom, mandated reporting, and legal and ethical issues for adult education and CTE instructors. These competencies will be further developed in later course work.
Course is self-paced and restricted to students admitted into the UCLA Extension CTE credential program. No public enrollment allowed. Internet access required.
