Elizabeth Chappelle

Clear Credential Instructor and Academic Coordinator

As an instructor in the UCLA Extension Teacher Induction – California Clear Credential Program, I look forward to guiding teacher candidates through the process of receiving their Clear Credential. I am a proud recipient of the 2013 Distinguished Instructor Award. I have taught in middle schools in and around the Los Angeles, San Diego, and Chicago areas. My focus as a teacher is project-based, cross-curricular learning, EL language development, data-driven instruction, individualized interventions for behavior and academics, and differentiation across the spectrum, with a focus on using GATE strategies for all learners. My undergraduate work was in Biology and Human Anatomy, and I earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. I earned my Multiple Subject Credential (CLAD) from California State University, Long Beach, completed a graduate certificate in Gifted Education at University of Southern California, and earned my Masters in Gifted Education at Arizona State University. I am thrilled to assist teachers across California and around the world in earning their credentials and expanding their instructional toolkits with us here at UCLA Extension Education.
