Alys Murray

Instructor Biography:

M.F.A., Alys Murray is screenwriter represented by CAA and has written feature screenplays for Hallmark, Lifetime and ViacomCBS including Christmas in Louisiana and My Southern Family Christmas. Ms. Murray is an international bestselling novelist, that has also sold pilots in the U.K. market. A tireless advocate for underrepresented voices on screen, she is an alumna of the RespectAbility, Inevitable Foundation, and Orchard Project fellowships and grant programs.

Instructor Statement:

I believe passionately in the power of stories. Whether my students are sharpening their writing skills or coming to the art of screenwriting for the first time, we will work together to craft stories and screenplays that they can be proud of - and that capture film's magical ability to connect us all, no matter our backgrounds or walks of life.
