MSE 221 Science of Electronic Materials (Instructor: Prof. Goorsky, M.S.) Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour; outside study, seven hours. Requisite: course 120. Study of major physical and chemical principles affecting properties and performance of semiconductor materials. Topics include bonding, carrier statistics, band-gap engineering, optical and transport properties, novel materials systems, and characterization. Letter grading.Corporate Education
