Garret Camilleri

Garret Camilleri is a dynamic and multifaceted professional with a passion for both the arts and education. With a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Performance Pedagogy from Loyola Marymount University, Garret brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his roles as an actor, director, writer, and practicing magician. His journey in the entertainment industry began in 2008, where he quickly became immersed in various aspects of Hollywood, including casting, production, directing, and acting. Notable for his performances in national campaigns for renowned brands such as Credit Karma, Truth, and McDonald’s, Garret's versatility shines through in leading roles across film, television, and theater.

In addition to his creative endeavors, Garret is deeply committed to nurturing performers and sharing his expertise with the next generation of artists. As an adjunct faculty member at several esteemed institutions, including the College of the Canyons, Loyola Marymount University, and Santa Monica College, he imparts invaluable knowledge and guidance to students in courses ranging from Understanding Theater to Magic: Principals of Illusions. Garret's dedication to education extends beyond the traditional classroom, as he is a mentor for the Young Storytellers non-profit.

Beyond his teaching and artistic pursuits, Garret actively engages in research and academic activities, with publications in renowned journals such as Theatre Journal and presentations at prestigious conferences like the Association for Theatre in Higher Education. He is in the process of finishing a book on performance coaching and loves to make homemade pizzas for his wife and child.
