Instructor Statement: Teaching writing is an intimate exercise, where we learn together how to hone your authorial voice to tell stories that matter to you. I believe that the books we create for children have a lasting influence on their entire lives, shaping their values, ideas, compassion and humanity. This life-long influence is why it's so crucial that we do our very best work for kids. My teaching process is one of inquiry and experimentation, not just learning the rules of the road. What is important to me is that you discover your own originality, explore your beliefs, find your voice, and give that to your readers. Sharing this process with you is pure pleasure for me.
