Terri L. Anderson
Terri L. Anderson received her Ph.D. in Sociology from UCLA (and also holds Bachelor's degrees in Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy). She has taught at a wide variety of colleges and universities, including UCLA (and UCLA Extension), Occidental College, Pitzer College, Loyola Marymount University, CSU Northridge, and Santa Monica College, among others, and currently teaches at UCLA, UCLA Extension, Loyola Marymount University, and Boston University's Los Angeles program. She is a co-author of the most recent edition of the classic undergraduate survival manual, This Book Is Not Required. Her research concerns include the self, technology, arts and culture, pedagogy, and gender and power. She is also the creator and executive director of AMP, the Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective, an international arts community with thousands of members in over 80 countries.
