UCLA Extension offers many course discount opportunities. Review the options below for ways to save. Discount applications will be processed within 2 business days.

Please note, discounts cannot be combined, may not be applicable on all courses, and can be discontinued at any time. Discounts cannot be applied to Summer Quarter XL courses.

Recent UCLA undergraduate and graduate alumni who received their degree within the last year may be eligible for an exclusive offer.

UCLA and UC Alumni Association Discount

Members of UC Alumni Associations, including UCLA, may receive a discount of 10% for instructor-led courses priced up to $499. For courses priced $500 or more, alumni receive a flat discount of $50 off.

An application is required to confirm your alumni status and eligibility. To complete the application, you will need your alumni association ID number, as well as the course(s) you'd like to enroll in.

UC Alumni Discount Application

For courses priced up to $499, UC alumni may receive 10% off of the instructional fee for instructor-led courses on an unlimited basis. Uninstructed labs and all administrative fee sections do not apply. The discount for courses priced $500 or more is a flat discount of $50 off. Select courses may be restricted or ineligible for this discount. Discounts cannot be combined.

UCLA Faculty & Staff Discount

UCLA and ASUCLA career employees who are employed at least 50 percent time, and retired staff members, are entitled to a 25% discount on UCLA Extension instructor-led classes.

Depending upon your payment method (self-pay or department recharge), employment verification and a brief application is required. Click 'Show More' for more details.

Self-pay

For staff who are covering the cost of course fees themselves (no partial or full departmental recharge). Once your employment verification has been approved, use discount code UCLASTAFF (all caps) at checkout.

UCLA Staff Discount Application

Department Recharge

For staff whose home department will be paying all or part of the course and other fees. Aside from employment verification, the department recharge order request application also requires you to include the course(s) in which you will enroll. No discount code is needed.

UCLA Staff Discount Recharge Order Request (ROR) Application

Current employment verification required. Your department may choose to recharge the course fee to a departmental fund if the course is work-related. Select courses may be restricted or ineligible for this discount. Discount code is case sensitive. Discounts cannot be combined.

UC (non-UCLA) Faculty & Staff Discount

University of California (UC) employees who are employed at least 50 percent time are entitled to a 10% discount on UCLA Extension instructor-led classes.

To get started, an application is required to confirm eligibility. Once you have been approved, use discount code UCSTAFF (all caps) at checkout.

Current employment verification required. Select courses may be restricted or ineligible for this discount. Discount code is case sensitive. Discounts cannot be combined.

Senior Citizen Discount

Students who are 65 years of age or older may enroll in UCLA Extension courses with a 25% discount off instructional costs (restrictions apply*).

To get started, an application is required to confirm eligibility. Once you have been approved, use discount code SENIOR (all caps) at checkout.

Senior Discount Application

Proof of age required. The senior citizen discount is not available toward courses with enrollment limits or courses with unusual material costs, such as travel and field study programs. Seniors who are members of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), and already receive reduced fee courses with their membership, are not eligible for additional discounts on Osher classes.
