About this course:

Writing for documentary is probably the most important and least taught skill set in documentary production today. Mastery of its concepts can ensure your project runs smoothly, from start to finish, and may, in the end, mean the difference between a completed project and one that isn’t. Whether you are working on a feature-length documentary or a docu-series, this course will assist you in developing the skills necessary to get a stalled project back in gear or a new project up and running through a combination of lectures, discussion, and writing exercises. Writing for Documentary (Feature or Series) acquaints you with the processes and fundamental skill sets required to see your project through to completion, no matter what stage it's in.
