About this course:
The course provides an introduction to microbiology for infection prevention. This course highlights the major microbial pathogen groups (bacteria, mycobacteria, fungus, and viruses). Students will be introduced to clinical microbiology laboratory techniques that are commonly used in the diagnosis of the microbiological pathogens. Topics covered in this course include comprehensive overviews of the different pathogen groups and their roles in outbreaks.
