About this course:

This immersive clinical course at the Maxillofacial Clinic provides trainees with hands-on experience in the specialized field of maxillofacial prosthetics. Participants will directly observe experienced faculty and independently treat patients with acquired or congenital pro-facial defects, including offering pre and post head and neck radiation dental and maxillofacial care. The curriculum explores diverse accommodations needed for effective treatment, aiming to enhance the trainee's understanding of applied techniques in the clinical dental management of these special patients. This introductory program serves as a solid foundation for navigating the complexities of maxillofacial prosthetics within the realm of head and neck cancer and/or congenital malformation patient care, offering valuable insights and practical skills for proficiency in this specialized field.
