Kyle Stokes

Kyle earned a Master of Liberal Arts in Software Engineering from Harvard University, Extension School. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering Technology from the University of Toledo. He is a full-stack engineer primarily focused on mobile development and is currently a federal contractor contributing to the success of the BIZINT (business intelligence) platform, enabling all branches of the military to gather critical information on commercial resources available worldwide. This lowers costs, reduces environmental impact, and deters global power conflict.

Before BIZINT, Kyle was a senior mobile engineer on iOS who revamped the brand-new Homes.com app to become a best-in-class residential real estate portal. He led several critical features, including a server-driven architecture that allowed agents to edit their listings on the go. His work was featured in a billion-dollar ad campaign, including Super Bowl ads.

As the previous lead iOS engineer at Airspace—an AI-driven, mission-critical logistics startup in San Diego, Kyle worked on an app similar to DoorDash or UberEats but for mission-critical shipments—i.e., human organs shipped between hospitals. Drivers were hired to pick up and deliver these critical shipments. His work helped Airspace be recognized as a CNBC Disruptor 50 company and listed on Fast Company’s “Next Big Things in Tech” in 2023.

At Hanson, he worked as a mobile software engineer and integrated newspaper eeditions into popular news apps, such as those used by the Toledo Blade and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He also developed an app that enables first responders to sync with their cameras.

Lastly, Kyle volunteers as a course assistant for Harvard’s CSCI E-80: Intro to Artificial Intelligence with Python. He holds bi-weekly office hours for students with questions about lectures, course material, or homework assignments.
